Serious buyers visit your site, then pick the factory next door

You never see it happen. They look you up after a trade show or a quote, open the site, cannot find specifications, capacity, or certifications, and go quiet. You never learn that the order was lost.

Why this happens

It is almost never a matter of effort. These are the patterns we keep running into.

The site has a profile, not the information buyers need

Pages are filled with company history and building photos, while buyers are looking for dimensions, materials, tolerances, MOQ, and lead time. The information that decides the deal sits in a PDF you have to email for.

No capacity evidence a buyer can check alone

Claims like "large capacity" and "guaranteed quality" cannot be verified. Buyers need numbers: how many lines, monthly output, certifications with numbers and expiry, and process photos that are not stock images.

One page for every product

The whole product line sits on a single page, so no page can surface for a specific search. Buyers search by product name and size, not by your company name.

Enquiries arrive with no context

The form only asks for a name and a message, so sales starts from zero every time. Volume, material, and timeline could have been captured on the product page while the need was still fresh.

How we fix it

  1. 01

    One page per product line

Every line gets its own page with a specification table, size variants, materials, and typical applications. These are the pages that surface in search, not your home page.

  2. 02

    Capacity written as numbers

Line count, monthly output, certifications with their numbers, and export destinations go on a page anyone can open, not into a brochure you have to request.

  3. 03

An enquiry form that captures scope

The form on a product page already carries the product name and asks for volume, target price, and timeline. Sales receives an enquiry it can actually price.

  4. 04

    A year of changes included

Lines change, certifications renew, prices move. For a full year we make those content changes without billing per revision.

What it looks like

The page a prospective buyer sees, on a large screen and on a phone.

What this screen shows

  • Request a quote
  • Flange Plate 10K
  • Elbow 90 LR
  • Butt Weld Tee

Case study

Metal component manufacturing

Situation

The entire catalogue lived in a 40 page PDF emailed by hand. The site had five pages and never surfaced for a single product name.

What we built

The catalogue was split into one page per line with specification tables, plus a capacity page carrying real production numbers and certifications, and an enquiry form that carries product context.

Result

  • Enquiries now arrive naming the product and the volume
  • Sales stopped emailing the PDF one buyer at a time
  • Product pages can be sent as a link in a chat
  • Certification questions stopped repeating

Questions we get asked

Is a corporate website different from a company profile?

A company profile tells your story. A B2B website has to answer technical questions: sizes, materials, capacity, certifications, and how to order. The profile stays, but it is not the main content.

We do not want public pricing. Is that possible?

Yes, and for most manufacturers that is the right call. You publish specifications and MOQ; price is discussed once volume is clear, through an enquiry form that already carries the product context.

Our catalogue is still a PDF. Does it need retyping?

No. We move the PDF or spreadsheet content into the product page structure. If the variant count runs into the thousands, we use the same bulk catalogue import we use for online stores.

How long until our site shows up in search?

New pages usually start getting indexed within days because the content is complete in the HTML on the crawler's first visit. Ranking for contested terms takes longer and depends on how specific your products are.

Problems that usually come together

Tell us the situation first

No long form. Send one message describing where you are now and we reply with a sensible next step, not a mass quote.
